Linja has been extolling subversive club tracks with an 80s industrial tint and outernational sensibilities across labels like Malka Tuti, Serenades and TTFS, and now he shores up on Mexican label Calypso with an EP of dexterous, deviant dancefloor bombs. 'Iced Peaks' comes in two parts, covering an epic expanse as claps echo across great plains and brooding synths tease a dramatic narrative, reaching from a patient, evocative intro towards the more pronounced thrust of the main tune. 'Lame Saiginae' has a rough, boxy but mystical feel which could easily come from a late 80s Youth production, and then Pigmalio comes bowling in with a remix which twists the original up into a feverish abstract of Detroit electro-techno.
